Lucas Sturgeon didn’t miss this past season in Saskatchewan.
The 2024 under-15 Saskatchewan champion won the age group in Yorkton by 27 strokes, the 14-year-old also claimed every bantam Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT) event he entered this season.
The Saskatoon Golf and Country Club member just missed getting into the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship, but he did participate and played well at the inaugural Golf Canada Under-15 Championship in Elmira, Ont. to launch what will likely be a long list of national appearances through Sturgeon’s development.
He spoke with Golf Saskatchewan about his start in golf and competition, determination to get better, and what his goals are in the sport.
