The North Battleford Golf and Country Club (NBGCC) is set to welcome over 130 amateur golfers for the Saskatchewan Amateur Championships starting Tuesday.
The NBGCC last hosted a provincial tournament in 2017 when the Senior Championships were held at the club. Head Professional Dana Johnson said hosting the top tournament in the province for the first time since 2004 is exciting for the club.
“We have a premier course that is in fantastic shape for the provincial amateurs,” Johnson said. “Hopefully the players enjoy the test the course will provide as well as the other amenities including our new restaurant, Blend Kitchen + Bar, and the entire Battleford region for the next four days which will likely be very exciting and concluding with great champions.”

The 112th Saskatchewan Amateur Men’s Championship will have a new winner at the end of four rounds on Friday, two-time winner Roman Timmerman turned professional.
