When it comes to giving back or never forgetting your roots professional hockey players have a reputation of remembering where you came from, for two-time Stanley Cup champion Dwight King that home is Meadow Lake.
Following his playing career that included a pair of NHL championships with the Los Angeles Kings he returned to Meadow Lake with wife Lauren. The couple now have three kids and a business on the bustling main street of the northern Saskatchewan community.
King recently spoke with Golf Saskatchewan about opening Kingdom Golf Inc., being close to family, and the amazing sport of golf.
